Conscious Emergence Expert Gerald Ong got into the world of LEGO® Bricks through his career as an enrichment instructor after spending 6 years as a Corporate Sales Representative for six years, selling products and services to B2B and B2C customers in various industries.
I got acquainted with LEGO® Bricks as I was teaching👨🏫 students enrichment in LEGO® Mindstorms EV3. I noticed that the students were very disruptive in their respective teams and wondered whether there is a possible solution using the same LEGO bricks to help students discover themselves and build teams🧑🤝🧑together. Soon after, I chanced upon the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method and got myself certified in March 2018 by Robert Rasmussen through Rasmussen Consulting Singapore, one of the providers that are recognized through the Associate of Master Trainers in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method
It was a tough 4 days of learning to get certified as a Trained👨🏫 Facilitator at Changi Cove. I was put through a tough self-discovery and scenarios as the program was designed to experience as an end-user experience approach.
Soon after, I spent months working on the flow of my 1st workshop on my pet topic of Career Guidance for Students🧑🎓, which I am thankful for what Boys Town Singapore has given me the opportunity to. Till today, I facilitate this topic using LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® at least 2 times a year for schools & non-profit organizations.
Through many friends I made, I was connected to a radio station, 893 MoneyFM to share my thoughts on “Seriously Playing with LEGO® Bricks” on 12th October 2018.
